MAGNESIUM OXIDE

Caustic calcined magnesite containing 2.7% CO2 is obtained by heating magnesite to 700- 1200oC. It has a wide consumption area from animal feed to uranium carbonate leaching systems. In making oxychloride or sorel cement, artificial silk, artificial fertilizer, chemical industry, etc. is also used.

It is used as an absorbent and catalyst in carbonate circuits to obtain uranium oxide from uranium ores.
